About Us
I am Dušan Jure Košutić, an independent researcher focused on systemic biological mechanisms underlying chronic and malignant diseases, with particular interest in oncogenesis, virus–host interactions, metabolic regulation, immune balance, and genomic (DNA) stability.
For more than two decades, my work has been dedicated to understanding the biological preconditions that precede disease development, rather than developing therapeutic or commercial medical interventions.

Research Framework
My research is based on the hypothesis that genomic (DNA) destabilization is not the primary cause of cancer, but rather a secondary downstream event, arising from prolonged disturbances in:
-
metabolic and biochemical regulation,
-
immune system balance,
-
systemic biological coherence,
-
and the potential implementation of viral factors during the transition from benign to malignant processes.
Within this framework, DNA is understood as the site where systemic dysregulation becomes manifest, not where disease originates.
This systems-regulatory perspective is fully aligned with the concepts presented in the Research section of this website.

Scientific Position and Academic Dialogue
The work presented here is mechanistic and observational, drawing on contemporary concepts from:
-
systems and integrative biology,
-
immunology and microbiology,
-
genome stability and epigenetics,
-
and historical and modern research on virus–host interactions in oncogenesis.
The proposed framework is open to academic discussion, critical evaluation, and institutional validation, without predefined conclusions or therapeutic claims.
In this context, academic communication has been initiated with:
-
university and research institutions,
-
clinical research centers,
-
and international academic environments.

Relation to Medical Practice
This work does not constitute medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and does not replace institutional medical care.
All concepts are presented exclusively within a scientific and research-oriented context, fully compatible with contemporary medicine and intended for academic consideration and hypothesis development.

Institutional Development and Support
The long-term vision of this work is the establishment of an Institute for Integrative and Systems Medicine, conceived as:
-
a research and educational center,
-
a platform for collaboration with universities, hospitals, and scientific institutions,
-
a space for responsible development of systems-based health models.
Support for this development may take the form of:
-
philanthropic and donor contributions,
-
institutional collaboration,
-
or participation in the creation of research infrastructure.
All support is directed exclusively toward research, education, and institutional development, in accordance with ethical and scientific standards.

Invitation to Dialogue
I welcome dialogue with:
-
academic researchers,
-
medical and scientific institutions,
-
philanthropists and visionaries,
who recognize the importance of a systems-level understanding of health and disease.
Progress in medicine requires patience, responsibility, and institutional cooperation.
This platform exists to support precisely that process.

Support for Independent Research
This project is developed as an independent initiative in the field of integrative and preventive medicine. Its objective is to advance the understanding of regulatory mechanisms of health and to foster interdisciplinary dialogue between conventional and complementary medical approaches.
Institutions, foundations, and individuals interested in supporting further research, educational, and publication activities may do so through voluntary contributions.
All contributions are allocated exclusively to research development, education, and international collaboration.
